Flexible working – the rise of the freelancer

As a freelancer with a young family, flexible working is essential to me.

I am a career mother of two small boys and have always tried to maintain the balance of being there for the kids and trying to forge out a career.

I won’t lie. It’s tough! I can only imagine how much harder it would be if I was working 9-5 in an office environment.

The benefits of flexible working to me are I can work when I want around my family life, from where I want. I am not tied to an office, or a set schedule.

The rise of the freelancer

I have attended events in the past where I listened to big named powerful women speaking; directors, lawyers and heads of HR.

They talk about how companies are attempting to offer flexible working but many are struggling.

With all of the technology available to us it should be easy.

But institutions have struggled to keep up.

Enter the freelancer.

Flexible working

All I need as a freelancer is an internet connection. I can work from anywhere provided I have an internet connection.

We no longer have to be tied to one place to work and do our jobs effectively.

You will often find me sitting in the park after school with my hot pink, fold out chair, my laptop and my mobile wi-fi working on client projects, being a mum.

And being way more productive than if I was sat in a stuffy office somewhere.

I work with companies to generate new business by combining modern sales and marketing strategy with my cutting edge 3 step COG™ system and bespoke methodology.

For more information about the inbound marketing process, read about our COG™ System.
